Fifteen years ago, a foreign organization implemented a park project on this public land. Due to inadequate planning and lack of public participation, the park deteriorated over time. Sadly, this has been a common fate for many public spaces. We tried to reclaim this space with minimum force construction.
The mature trees living on the site serve as a natural cover-up for the unsightly buildings, offering cool shade under their canopies. We planted native grasses, leaving space for unstructured play, walking, and relaxation.
This initiative considers the urban habitats for frogs, bees, and other pollinators affected by the concrete infrastructure and paved surfaces.
